Edit Inspection Equipment Quickly
Many changes to inspection equipment are small but frequent in daily work: correcting a serial number, changing a cost center, adding a location, or maintaining an additional field. For these cases, the full inspection equipment file no longer has to be opened every time. The inspection equipment list can edit selected fields directly.
Double-clicking an editable cell opens the matching editor in place. The change is saved and the list stays in the working context.

Work Faster Without Losing Control
Direct editing depends on permissions. Users only see and edit the fields they are allowed to access. Depending on role and visible columns, serial number, cost center, location with storage location, calibration lab, next inspection date, and additional fields can be edited.
Text and date fields can be changed directly in the cell. Selection fields open the matching selection list. Escape cancels editing before the change is saved.
Cost Centers Across Companies
A quick change should not mean that it can no longer be traced later. Changes to cost center and company are documented in the inspection equipment history. The company change appears as its own entry when both the old and the new company value exist.
List editing therefore complements the detail view: it is the short path for clear corrections. For complete inspection equipment files, attachments, comments, and extensive editing, the detail view remains the right place.
