ZIP Archive

A ZIP archive is a compressed file format that combines multiple files and folders into a single file. The contained data is compressed, reducing the overall size.

In memida, data exports (JSON export, VDI 2623 export) are provided as ZIP archives. These contain the exported data files together with all associated documents (e.g. calibration certificates, inspection protocols).

ZIP archives can be extracted with the built-in tools in Windows, macOS and Linux without additional software.
