Add photos and comments
Document a nameplate, the condition of inspection equipment or an observation directly at the point of use. Your additions are saved with the open item of inspection equipment and are then available in Memida as well.
First, open the inspection equipment record. The actions you can perform depend on your existing permissions. Saving requires an internet connection. Even with offline use prepared, photos and comments are not queued to be sent automatically later.
Take or select inspection equipment photos
You can add images to inspection equipment that is not archived, provided the feature is enabled for your user account.
Fig. 1: Take or select inspection equipment photos
- Under Inspection equipment images, tap the plus tile (1).
- Select Take photo or Choose from library (2). Allow access to the camera or photos if prompted.
- Confirm the photo or selected images. You can choose up to ten images at a time from the photo library.
The app uploads the images directly and displays them in the gallery. Wait for the upload to finish before leaving the record.
Retry a failed upload
For Upload failed, tap the affected image preview. Select Try again to restart the upload. Remove discards the local failed-upload preview; it does not delete inspection equipment images that have already been saved.
Open an image in the gallery to view it. The full-screen view supports zooming, panning and double-tapping.
Add a comment
Comments record observations and notes directly on the inspection equipment. Pinned comments appear before the other entries.

Enter your text under Write a comment … (1). Then tap the Send comment arrow button (2). Once the comment is saved successfully, the input field clears and the app updates the comments.
Without a connection, input is disabled with Comments are only available online. If sending a comment you have already entered fails, the text stays in the input field. Check your internet connection and send the comment again. Edit, delete or pin comments in the web application.
