Find inspection equipment and check due dates

The dashboard shows where action is needed. If you are already next to an item of inspection equipment, open its record with the scanner. Use search if the label is out of reach.

In the bottom navigation, the home icon opens the dashboard, the camera opens the scanner and the tool opens the inspection equipment list.

Interpret due dates in the dashboard

When connected, the four cards classify monitored inspection equipment by its next inspection date:

DisplayPeriod
Todaydue today or already overdue
Dueafter today, up to and including the next seven days
Due soonafter seven days, up to and including four weeks
Within one yearafter four weeks, up to and including one year

Tap a due-date card with a value greater than zero (1). The app opens the inspection equipment list with the corresponding due-date filter (2). The active filter appears above the list; tap it to remove it.

Under Statistics, switch between Ready for use, Due dates and Inventory. This lets you compare, for example, monitored inspection equipment, equipment without monitoring and equipment that is not ready for use.

Without a connection, a valid offline dataset makes the dashboard display Available offline, the data's update status and access to Inspection equipment and Scan. This replaces the statistics. Enable offline use once to use this feature. When connected, the app keeps the selected data up to date through regular automatic synchronization.

Filter the dashboard by cost center

Open the three-dot Filter menu next to Due dates. Select cost centers; administrators can also select companies. Use Remove filter to reset the selection. Online, Memida saves it for your user account until you change or remove it. Filters changed offline apply only on the smartphone.

Separate filters

This selection limits the dashboard analysis. When you open a due-date card, its due-date filter is passed to the list; the company or cost center selection is not passed along. Set the scope of offline data separately in Settings.

Find inspection equipment in the list

Open Inspection equipment using the tool icon when no label is accessible or you are looking for a specific item.

Fig. 2: Search for inspection equipment in the list

Enter a search term in the search field (1) and open the matching result (2). Each entry shows the ID no., manufacturer, model or type, and a status icon. The app loads more results as you scroll.

Inspection equipment groups show the number of their members. For assigned items of inspection equipment, the list indicates group membership.

Offline, you search only the most recently synchronized data for the selected cost centers. Archived inspection equipment is not included.

Scan inspection equipment

The scanner recognizes Memida DataMatrix codes assigned to inspection equipment. It is not a general-purpose QR or barcode scanner.

Fig. 3: DataMatrix scanner in the Memida App

  1. Open Scan using the camera icon and allow camera access the first time you use it.
  2. Keep the entire Memida code within the scanning area and hold the smartphone still briefly.
  3. When the code is matched successfully, the app opens the inspection equipment record and confirms the match with haptic feedback.

If no record opens, check the camera permission and the code you used. The inspection equipment must be within your authorized data scope. Offline, it must also be included in the valid synchronized dataset. For This code is not included in the offline data, scan again while online. Create Memida codes in the web application using the Label assistant.
